BSShowcase

The community is invited and encouraged to attend the 2024 Speech Showcase of the Beresford National Qualifiers to the NSDA Tournament (National Speech and Debate Association). The event will be held on Tuesday, May 14, in the high school library, starting at 5:30 pm.

The Speech Showcase will feature each of the 17 students who have qualified for the NSDA National High School or Middle School Tournament to be held June 19-21, 2024, in Des Moines, Iowa. The NSDA National Tournament will include 6,700 students from around the nation from 1,500 schools and crown 42 National Champions in the different high school and middle school contests. Although a smaller school, Beresford's Middle School Chapter of the NSDA is the largest one in the state of South Dakota.

The Showcase is a fundraiser to send the students to the national contest. Refreshments will be served, and a Silent Auction will take place that evening. A free-will offering will be held. If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate, please send the donation to Beresford High School, Atten: Ann Tornberg, 301 W. Maple, Beresford, SD 57004.

Coach Ann Tornberg welcomes the community to a great night of entertainment, which highlights the hard work of these students on their way to Nationals!
