Beresford Senior Max Josko qualified for Student Congress in the Senate and will be one of two students to represent the Rushmore District at the National Speech and Debate Tournament, which will be held June 20-25, 2025, in Des Moines. The qualifying contest was held on March 14 at Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School.
At this event, the outstanding seniors were named in each category of contest speech. Max was one of only four seniors in the state to receive the Rosella Blunk Award in Oral Interp. This award was named after an outstanding Oral Interp Coach at Sioux Falls Lincoln HS.
