Congratulations to Mrs. Jane Carlson, who will be inducted into the Watchdog Hall of Fame Class of 2020—Fine Arts! Mrs. Carlson is a 1972 graduate of BHS. She has dedicated her life to teaching and directing productions and has been the heart and soul of the Beresford Area Arts.
Congratulations to Dr. Tom Van Lent, who will be inducted into the Watchdog Hall of Fame Class of 2020—Academics/Achievement! Dr. Van Lent is a 1976 graduate of BHS. He is currently the Vice-President of Science and Education at the Everglades Foundation in Florida.
Congratulations to Dr. Brenda Sternquist, who will be inducted into the Watchdog Hall of Fame Class of 2020--Academics/Achievement! Dr. Sternquist is a 1969 graduate of BHS. She has spent her entire career at Michigan State University and is currently a professor of marketing.

Our school will join “Let It Shine SD” on May 1 at 9:30 p.m. by lighting up our stadium! Its purpose is to show support for our healthcare workers, spread hope to those who are sick, businesses who are hurting, and people who have lost their jobs. We invite everyone to join us!
Congratulations to our BHS HOSA Chapter for earning a "recognition award" for the largest increase in membership in SD! Junior Laura Bogue earned a 3rd place medal in Nutritional Sciences Knowledge. Junior Emelye Josko earned a 3rd place medal in Medical Assisting!

At today’s press briefing, Governor Noem asked that SD schools remain closed for the remainder of the 19-20 school year. As a result, our District will continue with the alternative learning options that are in place for the remainder of the school year, through Wed., May 20.
